Steve Weakley

 

Steve Weakley grew up in Northeast Oklahoma.  He graduated from Rice University in Houston, and attended SMU School of Law in Dallas.  He served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps for four years.  In 1985, he was Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law.  In addition to representing manufacturers and dealers in the recreational vehicle industry, his practice includes representing both business owners and individuals with problems in the areas of family law, labor law, probate, will contests, trusts, and guardianships both in state court and federal court. 

 

Litigation Philosophy

 

Certification as a Civil Trial specialist requires proof of experience, successfully passing a written examination, and recommendations by peers and judges.  It indicates a level of achievement and carries with it the responsibility of providing excellent representation.  My philosophy includes, also, a desire to provide the most cost-effective representation possible.  Knowing what to do to achieve these goals involves judgment tempered by experience.  Clarify the client's goals, and then achieve them as quickly as possible.

RV Industry Experience
 
For more than 12 years I have been involved in representing manufacturers of motor homes and towable RV's, and dealers selling these products, in state and federal court, as well as before the Texas Motor Vehicle Board.  I have successfully tried numerous cases to a verdict throughout the State of Texas in both urban and rural counties.  I have been invited to speak at numerous gatherings of industry leaders and other legal professionals.  I believe I am well-known in the industry, and can provide references upon request from numerous decision-makers.
